Four hardy Friends of Nevis Volunteers joined NLP Rangers Rob and Bianca and Volunteer Coordinator Rory to tackle cross drains ditches and culverts on the lower section of the Ben Path, from Achintee to the top of 'Heart Attack' One upside of the weather (Storm Aidan) was that blocked culverts and drains were easily spotted! This section of path had last been worked on at the start of lockdown so most of the drains needed a clear out. We split into 3 smaller groups and quickly made progress to the first stile We reached the top of 'heart attack' in good time and there was a brief respite in the rain, even some patches of blue in the sky! What doesn't show in the photo was the fact that the wind didn't ease off however!
Many thanks to Lucy, Gavin, Ali and Jenny for volunteering their time to help look after the Ben
